keetiebairdie
I was just cold called by an 'energy helpline' on camparisons and savings on my fuel - gas and electricity - bills. They said they are a third party advising throughout the UK on savings which can be made. The top saver of the three given, (inc LoC02, Eon) and EDF energy, would save me 14% pa. This savings is said to be until March 2013. Have any other readers changed their energy supplier having received such information? If the savings figures are accurate, why have all of us in Shetland not already been informed. Have any of you changed to EDF energy? Was it straightforward, any catches? Any better suggestions on how to reduce our fuel bills? No, I won't put on another pair of sox!
MuckleJoannie
One of the comittees I am involved with were looking for quotes for electricity. EDF failed to answer their phone! The cheapest we found for commercial premises were N-Power but obviously their domestic tariff may be different.
DizzyKipper
I wonder if the cold caller was EDF marketing? I do checking via the internet.
breeksy
I changed to EDF after researching which was cheapest for me on the internet. The switch was no hassle, I've been with them now for over a year and it's been no different, really.
jps
I have been with EDF for the past 2 years after researching on the internet. I am currently paying £27 per month less than I was paying Scottish Hydro 2 years ago and my account is in credit which it never seemed to be with Hydro. It is worth doing your own research though rather than taking the word of someone who has cold called you.All they are after is their commision
keetiebairdie
Yes, I wondered if this was a call from EDF marketing - who can you trust? I am making further enquiries before committing to anything - but if we can save a whopping 14%, will let you know.
mikeyboy
Suspicious person that I am. I don't discuss anything at all with companies who cold call me. If I am interested I will do the research online and arrange to call them back.
