  1. Maybe midget does want to know! No one mentioned workers from south either, What about the workers sacked last weekend after smashing a mans head through the window of a car they were workers from south! What about the ones pissing in the middle of the mid brae on the floor and over peoples legs or super glueing peoples glasses to the tables and looking for a fight before walking around in the pub naked? Yes it's often locals causing trouble but it's also workers from south, Although not all of them, a lot of them are quite decent and out for a good time, A lot of people don't want to go out in brae now after peoples drinks being spiked if they do they are having to sit with a hand covering the top of the glass, i don't think that was a problem before!
  2. I know someone who put carrots in their trolley but when they got to the checkout they were gone! Although there was no fighting involved in that incident!!
  3. As said best to see some examples, although some of the builders some people would recommend i wouldn't as i know people who have had bad experiances with them! I Know someone who has been waiting nearly 5 years to get some snagging finished!
  4. I have just heard that when serco take over the ferries that if you wish to eat in the a la carte restaurant you cannot book it unless you are booked into a premier cabin! If for example you are only travelling to orkney and are only on as a foot passenger is your money not good enough to be spent there?
  5. Well paulb i'm not sure at which point you decided i was afraid of sniffer dogs, Any time i've ever met one they've been quite friendly So if i ever have one at my front door they'll be more than welcome to come in, as for drug raids they have a time and a place, Not here as i don't have anything worth raiding, except mabye a piggy bank! The problem with The drug of choice you mention is there doesn't seem to be much choice! And most cannabis users seem to be able to carry on in a far more normal capacity to those who start to take heroin which for most seems to be a one way street! (I know some manage to kick the habit And i respect those who do or atleast try) I also don't see the point using the dogs to find a couple of people with a gram or two of cannabis in their possesion when there's more worrying thing out there causing much more problems in society! It seems most if not all of the people caught with heroin coming in to Shetland are after tipoffs and not just chance finds by the dogs anyway!
  6. As far as i can see the drug problem in shetland got worse after the Dogs against drugs were introduced, I has made it harder to get cannabis in shetland and the stuff people can get is very expensive where as they can easily get cheap heroin which is far more profitable for the people who get it here and sell on! (mabye it's just my opinion but i'm entitled to it) before anyone gets on their high horse! I'd rather see people smoking a few joints and having a good time than what seems to be going on around here now!
  7. There are straight bits before the corners where i'm sure some sort of warning could of been in place! If you sit just around the corner at night in the snow there's more chance of not being seen by oncoming vehicles! Where was the van? Mabye in a place where it was not clearly visable to oncoming vehicles? I would like to know where the driver was? If I had been involved in a road accident (and not injured) i would of been doing my best to stay around and help out and not leave it to others to phone the police for me!
  8. So somebody with a vehicle with hazards on before and after the accident to give a bit of warning to others might not of helped? It doesn't take all sorts of hse methods to do that! You also do not have to go far to get phone signal in that area so after at least an hour and a half by the time the second police car arrived to sit at the other end of the accident from the first to provide a warning to other road users, where was the driver of the van??
  9. Could have been but i know the people who had to phone the police to warn them and try to warn people of the hazard after another vehicle left the road trying to avoid the van! the driver of the van and anyone else involved at the time had left! It's possible some thing else could have happened later though?
  10. Who ever crashed at the nesting junction abandoned the van on the road!! Almost caused a few more accidents, The least they could have done was try to warn others the vehicle was on the road and contact the police, a couple of blue flashing lights certainly slow people down! The roads near Brae are bad just now!
  11. I'd gie dem an hours notice dan turn tae da wind, gie dem anidder hours notice dan run da anchors!! if dir no dair by dan day'll be ok if dae ir, tough!
