I'm reading 'Perfume' by Patrick Suskind. A bit rambly, but still manages to be moreish and sensual at the same time. -

^^^ Hear, hear. The worst bit is when something isn't in the shop, and they tell you off for it, and you think, 'what do you want me to do, pull one out of my a**e for you?!' Ugh, an adolescence spent in retail - on and off - has completely drained all patience I have with the general public

This totally sums up half the users and video comments on YouTube, which really drives me nuts. See what I mean? There's also this one which can't be embedded: -

I'm now onto 'The White Tiger' by Aravind Adiga. It won last year's Booker Prize. I like it so far Before that I read 'Lullaby' by Chuck Palahniuk, which was very uncomfortable in terms of content but strangely moreish. I think that's a trademark of his writing though. -

^^^ Erm, quite - although that last sentence...nah. As much as I hate doing it, I pick up after my dog too. As I've said before, it's a responsibility one receives the moment they acquire their dog. If you're not prepared to pick up after it, don't own one. That said...I don't know if spraying the offending substance pink will shame owners into picking it up. Although if it has an odour-masking ingredient it's fine by me.

I saw that earlier, top story apparently!

^^^I'm on the TPS and it hasn't helped - even after I registered with them I still got automated calls like that. Additionally, my landline number in Glasgow is ex-directory (it was initially only set up so we could get t'internets). It's not happened for a while but I do wonder what more we can do to get rid of people like that.

Annoying but trivial things - Room 101 stuff

It's so annoying when you check S1 Rental and find a listing for a flat, only to find the letting agency haven't bothered putting up pictures of the flat's interior. You might disagree, but personally I prefer for letting agencies to put up pictures of the various rooms in the flat, as opposed to simply saying that 'flat comprises of two spacious double rooms, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom with electric shower' just doesn't cut it for me. After all, they say a picture's worth a thousand words, and when these people don't put up pictures I can't help but wonder if they have something to hide... -
