Fjool
...Blockflöte? Was taught to play this at school and always thought it was a rubbish instrument. Recently, after years of snubbing it, I was gifted a Yamaha descant and have been playing it for several evenings now. It's a lot more interesting than I'd given it credit for. The resonance is brilliant, and it covers almost three octaves which I'd never learned about until I saw the site below. Interactive Recorder Fingering ChartHow to play the recorder I realise I'm probably irritating the heck out of everyone (soprano pitched, so sometimes pretty shrill!), but it's really fun to play. Would love to play a bass recorder to compare them. So now, continue the thread with one of your instruments...
Ally
I play guitar, bass (guitar, obviously), can hold a beat on the drums and am a virtuoso on the pink oboe. Sorry.
trout
Twice last night I wrote something rude about my hairy trumpet and deleted it! Oh for the funs On a more serious "note" I do not have the ability to play an instrument, no, which is a shame. I've always wondered if I would like to play the guitar but have never taken it up. peeriebryan
Q: Whats the difference between a dead rabbit at the side of the road and a dead bodhran player at the side of the road? A: The rabbit might have been on his way to play a gig

ewenutz
I have a bit of an addiction when it comes to musical instruments, I just keep buying them but failing to learn to play. Guitar is the only thing i can make a half arsed job of, my favourite is my £9.99 squeeze box from high level. its a winner.
