Another method Fill the 3 gallon bucket and empty into the 5 gallon bucket;Again fill the 3 gallon bucket and empty into the 5 gallon bucket until it is full. This will leave 1 gallon in the 3 gallon bucket;Now empty the 5 gallon bucket, and pour the remaining 1 gallon into the 5 gallon bucket;Then fill the 3 gallon bucket and empty into the 5 gallon bucket, making 4 gallons. The black bits being water. The chances of that being anywhere near right though are well in excess of a million to one though, I suspect.
