sheepshagger
I can’t see him even getting a place on The Apprentice. Alan Sugar would have fired this idiot after the first day never mind 12 years in governmentm really now Alan Sugar works for GB and this from a PM that said the age of celebrity politics was over. Evey muppet that voted for these tossers should hang their heads in shame, The UK has turned in to a nation of idiots hooked on big brother or smack or both, no wonder such a bunch of incompetant crooks run the asylum. Claudias
^ ^ ^The majority of voters voted for Brown and the Labour Party, thus keeping the Tories out.
shetlandpeat
yeah what has this government done that is good for the country? Right, where do we start... National Minimum Wage Devolved Power for Scotland Record levels of literacy and numeracy in schools Free fruit for kids at school Free nursery places Overseas aid doubled Free entry to museums Child trust funds Free busses for over 60's Banned fox hunting Paternaty leave for fathers Gift Aid Disability Rights Commision Good Friday Agreement brokered A right to four weeks paid holiday nearly 2,000,000 folk lifted from poverty Free TV licences Well, I am not going to list them all, not enough time.. But, even though you may not personally agree with some, they are factual and have helped the country one way or another, either by helping folk or stopping cruelty to some degree.. There are also many more folk in further education, more teachers, free milk again in schools and the introduction of Child Tax Credits.. More women are now in places of power than before, there was more women in the Houses of Parliament.
Marooned in Maywick
^^^ Indeed not. Of the 27,110,727 valid votes cast in the 2005 election, there were 9,562,122 for Labour. That's not a majority however you'd like to count it, however due to the preposterousness of the UK electoral system they did end up with a majority of the seats. Claudias
^ ^ ^This topic is about the suitability of Gordon Brown. The pros and cons of proportional representation are for another region.

Skunnered
^ ^ ^The majority of voters voted for Brown and the Labour Party, thus keeping the Tories out.Not quite. The majority of voters have never voted for Brown, only in his own constituency as MP. And the Labour MPs didn't even vote for him as leader. And Labour only got in because of the Scottish MPs, so yes BROWN SHOULD GO!!
shetlandpeat
Who should we have instead or are you going to leave it up to the club to decide?
