  1. Will you stop typing in capital letters, your view on the matter is no more important than anyone else’s. Your attitude isn't exactly endearing me to your catering service ether...
  2. Exactly the same experience! such a dissapointment Hopefully someone from there or knows them can give them a prod!
  3. To get back to the topic in hand.... I have found the Fort chippy to be quite poor lately, the chips have been bad on both recent occasions, quite fatty and soft and the fish batter covered in oil, just not up to its usual high standards. I've always sung its praises but think I may defect (for a trial anyhow) to the new place that used to be Ians.
  4. used the old co-op box shopping thingys and packed it to form blocks, but as the day went on it became harder to compress the snow, more like powder so i had to go higher in order for the blocks to stay intact, hence the more of a tipee shape I used candles in the night shot, was quite cosy inside, left a hole at the top for the air circulation its difficult to see scale but its about 9 foot high

  7. From what I can gather, if the loch has a protection order issued against it then its illigal to fish without a permit OR the land owners permission, but otherwise there is no legal requirement. but theres a possibility that Shetland is slightly different from Scotland and that Udal law dictates it requires the land owners permission(but that might just be for Salmon!)
  8. try www.selectspecs.com scan a copy of your perscription and email it with your order, takes about 2 weeks I'm on my 3rd pair of glasses with these(i tend to break glasses quite a lot) and they are no worse/better than a pair of £130 ones from specsavers but these cost me £23 inc postage they do sell expensive ones as well so you need to poke around the site They also have a value range for £8 but they don t come with the thin and light lenses these are mine: http://www.selectspecs.com/Glasses/Savannah/Gardenia/ss6.32.html
  9. We're talking 3mph over the limit here, thats probably not even noticable on the speedo. Sorry officer I didn't notice the white faced gentleman bouncing off the bonnet of my car due to me not taking my eyes off the speedo...
  10. wasnt it part of the planning approval regards the amount of floor space they can have for non food use?

  19. Now where could I find a coca-cola fridge stuffed full of Netherland Dwarf rabbits to trade for my Philips monitor? the coca cola fridge is still sitting in Lerwick awaiting a buyer after repeated attempts to arrange for it to be picked up by its shetlink buyers, the rabbits went via adverts apart from 2 of them, however the only reason the came to shetland was because of a shetlink buyer in unst who wanted 4 of them, only to tell us when they got here that they didnt want them, then another shetlink buyer in unst let us down and as for the monitor I had to reduce it so I was almost giving it away I was giving away warning triangles the other week for free, I couldnt even shift those! managed to pass on just 1! as I say there will always be exceptions
  20. Whatever, there will always be exceptions

  22. [mod]The following 8 posts (including this one) have been moved from the For Sale section to here[/mod] Hmm, well why waste folks time replying on threads you obviously have no intention on buying? One thing shetlink doesnt need is folk posting cr*p (and SPAM) like you well folk do it to mine, seems to be an accepted part of Shetlink I also dont like folk being ripped off
