Njugle
daveh, check the pipe from the extractor fan too, if possible. If it is uninsulated water will condense inside it and the gathering water can cause a u-bend effect that will stop it from extracting anything. Most fans are fairly ineffectual at the best of times though, many are under-rated, especially if DIY fitted. @beachcaster - get deesell some mud mats. (JB's Autostore). Tip them out every couple of days, job done. Du'll never look back. I ken I will never settle for anything less noo. Not dear either. I've even dropped a cup of takeaway coffee in mine and still had a dry carpet.
daveh
Njugle - I am not sure how I can check the pipe from the fan. It just disappears into the ceiling and then onto the outside. I guess that there is bound to be dampness within the pipe at all times at this time of the year. As for the dampness in the car, my last two cars were Ford Focuses and they were truly appalling at the condensation building up. I could go out of an evening with friends and our cars could be parked alongside each other. When it was time to go home, they just got into their cars and drove off whereas I had to sit there for about 5 minutes wiping the windows and getting the car heater warming up. Maybe it is me and I sweat a lot!
crofter-amy
That would explain the need of two showers a day

daveh
What is amusing about having 2 showers a day? Don't most folks do the same?
Guest Anonymous
I usually have at least 2 a day. Been known to have a bath aswel but wouldn't like someone asuming that t was linked to a sweating problem.

Biglad
How many bedrooms and how many people sleeping Samal? Do you find condensation(water) on your windows in the morning or is the damp on the walls?
Spinner72
No amount of heating and/or dehumidifiers can make up for ventilation. Make sure no vents have become blocked up and leave windows and doors open at every opportunity. If you don't already do so, that could make all the difference.
