Ghostrider
More like 5p and more off a litre. Which in plain language equates to being able to travel say approx (assuming circa 50mpg) 200 miles for £1.00 cheaper. However when that means that 200 miles would cost £27.00 instead of £28.00, it really makes beggar all odds.

hairyian
Another rumour circling the town is that Asda will indeed be taking over the Co-op in the new year!! Right, thats 2 from me, anyone else???? That will be from the two regular shopers at Co-Op that are praying they don't eventually have to go to Tesco ? For such shoppers, Tesco actually do them a favour.Saturday afternoon, boat in, stuff on the shelves.Carpark less than half full. No problem whizzing down the isles and no queus at the check out. I did not actually go in Tesco today, but hugely larger car park appeared to be 75 percent full - and loads of traffic coming and going through the entrance. So, what is Tesco currently doing that attracts the customers that the co-op seems to fail at ? It surely can't all be folk collecting club points to soend at the secret petrol filling station? Guest posiedon
Can they not bring a petrol tanker up on the deck of the freight boat?If Tesco wanted to give Shetland folk the same deal on fuel that they give to the rest of the UK, its really quite simple; they should make the vouchers redeemable at Sound service station and then reimburse the owners of Sound service station. That way Sound service station would see a huge increase in sales, Tesco wouldn't incur any extra overheads and it would be a kick in the gob for GB oils.
