  8. You may need to check with who owns the walkway, is it a right of way? It would be listed if there is.... Is it cos the work they are doin could put users at risk of falling objects. I am sur it is not for good and I am sure there are other routes... The council will tell you... But sadly we can only suggest
  9. Would you rather he 'spills his seed'? NO!!!!! Every sperm is sacred..... Have kids, pack them of to medical research... What two consenting adults do is really between them, same as three or more,,,,I would not get too worried over it. Mind at my age noisy sex is when I bang my head on the PC monitor

  11. There is a good line and discounted at the moment at Blacks and Millets. At least you can compare prices
  12. There are a few examples of prison life that nearly all human rights were removed here in the UK. Try reading stuff that was written about the Maze Prison, or the way women were treated at Holloway. If you want a graphic picture, try watching Hunger directed by Steve McQueen. It did not help the rehabilitation, it alienated us from other countries, and the Yanks got very upset.. Funny how now we are upset about the way the yanks are now treating folk in Cuba without trial... But with the attitudes of the day, the lack of willingness for folk to become part of it, and show support, it will always fail. There will be some that will be hell bent on trouble, a very very small minority.... It would be like me saying anyone who is caught exceeding the speed limit should have there licence removed permanently, car crushed and have to, for the rest of their lives be victimised for it. Folk are whining about speed cameras already, how dare they try to catch us...that is another subject.... But driving too fast is punnished by small fines, an action that could kill a whole load of kids walking to school, but rob ten pounds from a purse could land you in klink... You could show folks the rod at every occassion, remember though, these folk will again mingle with your kin folk. How do you think they would be? Pleasant or a bit angry.. And any mental illness may have been deepened to a state where it could be undetectable, remember, the prison population would increase drastically under your proposals of lock em all up, do you think there will be adequate staffing levels to deal with folk in a 1 2 1 basis, to rehabilitate. You then would have to deal with those from the Howard League http://www.howardleague.org/ http://www.howardleaguescotland.org.uk/ There are many folk that would need to be convinced of your ways, and you would also need to show case studies, but you cannot, cos you would have to mistreat folk to get the results..... Eventually, the state would then rule with an iron fist, no mercy, oh, you would have to be so good. But it would have to be the state, in this country we have not quite got the hang of civilians, punnishing other civilians, has always been the courts, police or governments. Take wheel clamping, big no no now, done maily by privete companies.
  13. We went in last month, the only down bit was the yound lass was so busy she forgot to clean off the table. She did that upon request, and b4 delivery of good scran... So, a little more staff or a method statement. Tis good
  14. Open your mind, remove the restrictive shackles (only if they hurt)
  15. I have no idea what that has to do with playgrounds? Mind we did used to play kirby on the street a few years ago, sadly the road surface has been re-dressed and the kerbs are not as proud now. Playin on the hill was not much safer, as a child it is fun but as we grow older and don't bounce so well, but little chance of drowning... But the hill seems to be all fenced off now, as is the Knab.. So the playpark is one of the options...
  16. There is a link to council tax as the CT only part pays for your local services, which could include ex prisoners being integrated back into the community. And if more is centrally being spent on prison, then the balance not paid for for community stuff by CT will surley increase or services decrease, putting more folk under pressure to not commit any crime to enhance their lives. Folk already work in prisons, if they were all locked down then others would have to do it at min wage.. A prisoner gets 2 pounds a week minimum, to buy tobacco and anything else.. If he goes and furthers his education, he may get up to 10 pounds.. If he works in laundry, may be 13 pounds.... And so on. You have to also keep in mind, prisons are really there to rehabilitate, to constantly suppress folk will just invoke hatred and a more devious criminal.
  17. At work, if we use a Sthil saw, a water suppression, masks, goggles and leather gloves are the minimum. Repeated exposure of any dust could harm, eventually.. The HSE are not there to hold your hand but to give you the info you need to do a safe job, all breaches fall under existing laws. If the gettin on to contractors does not work, phone HSE or even the council, they are also there for public protection... Remember, these folk are profititng from not doing it.
  18. If you want your kids to play on the Knab, that is your choice, but when there are so many other things to do, why risk them permanent residency.
  19. I get the feeling I am being picked on
  20. I agree that dog licences should be brought back in, perhaps with concessions for pensioners and so forth. However, I totally disagree that it should be the responsiblity of other dog owners ONLY to pick up after other lazy, dog owners. Now, where do you stand on cat owners' going into other people's gardens to pick up cat poo? I would watch where I stand... I was not saying that others should pick up poo, just to report it and perhaps someone fae an authoritive body could be on duty at the location to catch and fine..it wont take long, even though you will get protests of spying...
  21. Does that include folk who cannot pay their council tax cos it has gone up so much to help pay for prisons... You can be sent to prison for not paying... How much, then should some one who has been wrongly convicted be compensated for your breach of their basic human rights??? How much would you expect...?
