The press like to crucify anyone concerned in the student protests..Their trophy was Dave Gilmours son hanging from the Winston Churchill monument clutching a Union Jack!!He also appeared aside the The royal car!! I don't think crucifixion would be an overly harsh response in this case, or at the very least a public flogging, jumped up little tw*t. Well said! shetlandpeat
Yes, punishing with violence for violence will always work.It has always worked in the past, when we hung people there were no murders, now we stopped folk are getting killed left right and centre. If injuring someone out of revenge works, why do they still stone, hang, decapitate, mutilate, inject and electrocute for these crimes..Cos we all know it works, perhaps these folk then have learning difficulties or egged on or have ADHD. Pleepsie
Mind you it was in the Daily Mail, I wouldn't believe the date on that putrid, hate filled publication It was also reported in the Times.

shetlandpeat
Tis easy to get sucked in, there are many right wing thoughts on these forums, and no one is really to blame. The only trouble with right wing thoughts is they can go to far as to hurt folk, well sections. As we all know, there was no impact assessment done on these cuts that are being protested about. More women than men will be hit by them for a start. Hmmm, right wing bolotics, women and children first... Up the ConDemNationDown with the Dim Dems and a level playing field for those in between... Vote for Peat, he is havin a go

man of kent
Having been in London's West End in late November; calmly walking out of Leicester Square with my wife, the whole area was packed with people sightseeing and going about their business. When in the distance I heard screams and shouts of "Higher Fees", and the sound got louder and louder. We managed to get in to a shop doorway just as the crowd came towards us running and screaming pushing over and past other sightseers. They were running at speed and didnt care whether there were children in their paths or not. These so called students were hooded and masked carrying banners and "other" items that looked like pieces of wood. These were very closely followed by the London Police who were certainly not in control of the crowd; who had effectively left the police standing. Luckily for us the shop doorway gave some respite to the mob, I certainly have nothing good to say about people like this, and certainly nothing good to say about the spoilt brat who dared climb on the Cenotaph holding a Union Flag.Birch the lot of them. unlinkedstudent
I doubt if all of the trouble-makers were, in fact, students. I've worked in the past for both British Transport Police and also a firm of Solicitors specialising in complaints against the Prison Service and the Police. The Police usually can be identified by numbers on the back of their helmets. Believe me, stringent guidelines are in force (which are enforced) and having been involved in the preparation of legal proceedings concerning previous riots/protests in London, both violent Police Officers and protestors are identified and both parties brought to book. Solicitors acting on behalf of protestors suffering injuries at the hands of the Police have access to the video footage, etc.
