  1. That is the best idea I have ever heard...
  2. Ha ha, licence fee - value for money; and in the same sentence!!!!
  3. DeMascus, say what you want about panorama's reporting stance. The only thing the scientologists achieved was to make themselves look like even bigger idiots....
  4. Definitely not. Stick with the MAC. But first whats wrong with it? appart from being ridiculously over-priced
  5. The point was DeMascus, that Sweeny has a right to report. And he was trying to do so in a balanced manner. i.e. speaking to anti-scientologist individuals and the scientologists alike to give voice to both sides of the argument. The scientologists were extremely anoyed that he "wasted their time" by speaking to other "anti" individuals, and sometimes refused to talk to him or just shout at him instead. That is not the reasoning of a normal person or organisation. Most organisations with nothing to hide and are comfortable with there position in society would welcome a challenge. The fact that they use their so-called "fair game" policy is disgusting. Its a load of utter crap (it was created in the 60's for f's sake!); but its not that much different from most other religions: i.e. a load of crap!!! You have a brain use it!!!!! (not directed at DeMascus)
  6. This is an extract from one of green peace's comments: What a load of utter crap. There are so many unkowns and so much room for error. A towing fishing vessel is in a very dangerous position in terms of having to alter course. What if the lines had snagged? No support for green peace what-so-ever
  7. How long do the shetlink cookies last i.e. when do they expire?
  8. People having problems with Read Post indicators etc with firefox: When you have read the post do you then click "Back" in the browser? I seem to get the same problem. But if you click a navigation link on the actual shetlink page it works. i.e. click on the forum link again or the topic link to go back instead of using the browsers back button....
  9. This type of story keeps certain reporters in a job; they'll milk this story for all its worth.... It’s nothing but plain conjecture on the part of the media. I think it would help the situation, if they focus on actually finding her; instead of hypothesising about every possible situation. What kind of media frenzy will there be if the worst has happened?! I think the way the media goes about its business in these kinds of situations is appalling, show a little bit of respect and leave it to the “authorities†to sort it out. It is a terrible situation; but having some so called “expert†on missing children cases, talk about what emotional turmoil the family “must†be going through is very sickening. Has panorama had a go at this story yet… Here’s hoping the lass is ok.
  10. My God! And they still served tea and coffee?!!
  11. I would agree that gold bars do get "messy", although I would argue it's worth it. If however I was made to choose another biscuit, possibly due to there being a shortage of gold bars, I would choose a Custard Cream.
  12. Kopete Messenger. I have three accounts runnning at the same time, two Windows Live, and one IRC. Saves a lot of desktop space, fantastic piece of kit.
  13. Mandriva Linux Spring 2007. Had it for a few weeks now, no complaints so far. One of the best Linux distros I've used.
  14. The "triangles" are constructed from shapes; but they are not actually triangles. The black line on top is a triangle, which fools you. The two small triangles have different angles. The blue has a larger angle than the purple triangle. Because the two angles are run from one to the other, it's not a straight line i.e. a hypotenuse. The first "triangle" has an edge or "hypotenuse" that is concave; the second is convex. Because the second is convex there is more space allowing for the empty square.
  15. Why would you do such a thang?
  16. Are you saying OAP's should be put in jail if they are lonely and struggling?
  17. On the contrary Big Mouth those are the exact ingredients used to make “Lairds Gruelâ€. Another item which might be taking up a hill or elsewhere is: Pot Curry.
  18. Best dining out experience has to be at: "The banks between Bigton and Ireland" near the south end (turn right at channerwick then continue for ages). The spacious pebble floored eatery offers rustic dishes from the a la carte menus that are complimented by the traditional Shetland views. A great atmosphere and you can arrange to take your own food and drink. I recommend "Docken surprise"!
