I think the pink spray's a good idea - although if it contains something to cover up the smell that would be even better. Anyway - I reckon Brae's getting quite bad for it too, but my attitude's always been that if you're not prepared to clean up after your dog you shouldn't own one. I don't like picking up after mine, but I do all the same. Duke St is the same - the good people of Dennistoun seem completely incapable of picking up after their dogs, and just leave the crap on what is one of the busiest streets in Glasgow's East End. Disgusting. Maybe Glasgow City Council should follow our lead!

I'd rather have a windfarm than a nuclear plant. A friend of mine lives in North Ayrshire, near both such sites, and says the nuclear plant is far more of an eyesore as well as more harmful to the environment.

I'm currently on 'What I Loved' by Siri Hustvedt - it's a bit slow-paced I have to say, I'm having issues getting into it. I read a few other things before that, the best of which have to be 'The Beach' by Alex Garland and 'Persepolis' by Marjane Satrapi, the latter of which I would advise you all to get.

I'm looking forward to Fleetwood Mac in October with my ma, brother and sister, and Eddie Izzard in November with two of my best pals Both SECC, within about three weeks of each other

This is absolutely cracking me up... Fortunately I've managed to avoid hearing these lyrics in full (the intensely irritating delivery of the opening line alone is enough to prompt a swift off-switch or channel-change). I cannot suffer Nickelback. When they released 'Silver Side Up' (or the album with How You Remind Me on it) I quite liked them. But I got the next album after that and couldn't get into it, and now I just can't stand them. The song I especially hate is that fecking 'Rockstar' one - apart from getting constant airplay on the radio and being used in DFS ads, my flatmate's boyfriend had it as his mobile ringtone (or he used to). When he stayed at ours he left his phone in his jacket pocket and hung it on our coathangers - which are near my room. A couple of times he's been phoned at night and woken me up Grrr!
