Marooned in Maywick
If someone asks for yours, how do you group the digits in your response? Me? It's 2-3-3-3 which effectively translates as 5-3-3 since the first two are always 07. It just feels less natural if someone tells me their number using a different grouping. muckleflugga
5 - 3 - 3, but suppose it'll depend on how the digits group, colleague at work, his ends 41 61 41, so he'll obviously say it that way
Nigel Bridgman-Elliot
I do it in two's, like: seventy-five, twenty-two,eighty-one That way I reckon its easier to avoid situations where you get two or more numbers next to each other, and also helps prevent numbers being swapped around. sassermaet
I say either 5-3-3 or 2-3-3-3.
mstevens
Definitely 5-3-3.
nederlander
Guess I'm different then, I would go: 4-3-
Twerto
2-2-3-4 usually followed by "if that doesn't work swap the ? and the ? around as i can never remember what way round they are".
DamnSaxon
I don't even try to remember it, life's too short. It's written on a sticker on the back, so I just pass them the phone. (No, they don't nick it, who's going to run off with an eight year old mobile?)
Frances144
I think mobile phone numbers have to be the most unmemorable (is that a real word?) ever. Mine, I have had for years, and I still can't remember it, find it nearly impossible to find in the phone and have it written down somewhere in the house. I also can't remember anyone else's mobile phone numbers either - even ones I phone daily. Is it the amount of numbers? I have memorised most folks' BT phone numbers just out of habit and general use but a mobile number holds no memory in my head at all. Funny that! Just an observation! beachcaster
I have had for years, and I still can't remember it, find it nearly impossible to find in the phone ..... I could never remember my mobile phone number either. I entered my number in my phones "contacts" under AA Mobile, so it is always the first number in the list and easy to find when i had to tell someone my number. It also means that anybody having a poke around inside your phone will automaticly assume that you are either a raging alcaholic or have a very unreliable car. tarotangel
I usually go 3-3-3-2. I have a few that I try and remember but that's about it.
