Ally
I Thought this thread might have been done before, but cannae see it... Anyhow, I regularly get little tunes repeating over and over in my head - often just skewed versions of the chorus to popular songs that I'll end up guessing lyrics to and repeating, to the annoyance of all around me. It's probably some mild form of musical tourette's syndrome and, frankly, I'd rather not know what this condition says about my mental health. I once spent an entire weekend at T In The Park involuntarily exclaiming "Equador!", taken from the trashy DJ Sash song of the same name. Worse still, the next year I had 'Some Girls' by Racheal Stevens rattling around my mind throughout that messy, sleepless weekend. More recently I had this little ditty stuck on mental repeat: Except, whenever i sang it the only part I could remember was the line "louie Vetton", to which I'd inexplicably add "and a wheelchair" then I'd just keep singing this bizare little mantra every hour or so for days. So, basically, I'm now resigned to the fact that there will always be a tune in my head, which is sometimes good, but frequently not. The one that I've been plagued with recently I actually really like, it's just slightly weird. In fact there's two tunes on my internal playlist at the moment, namely these: The messed up electro-reggae theme tune to 1980s Ronnie Corbet show 'Sorry!' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OizPImftfFE4 And the theme tune to Charlie Brooker's screenwipe (whole episode here - couldn't be bothered to search for the song on its own) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQx4gedf410 Anyway, if anyone else has a song currently stuck in their head, then feel free to post it here, the logic being that once you pass it on you can be free of it's curse, or at least help expand my deranged inner DJ's set-list... Guest Anonymous
Ray Charles at his very best. And Willie ain't too bad. This is about the best one on my mp3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pnLnZo5aWM EDIT: Hopefully I can get that one out of my head now, and get back to listening to Eddie Barclay and Bobby Tulloch. Already I am working my mic-saber into the second verse.
