Ghostrider
would you take offence to being called a Sheltie I've been called a "female dog" a few times and it was probably quite correct I'll no aks what you'd said or done to attract that description. man of kent
I dont have a big problem with our lovely place being called The Shetlands rather than the proper title The Shetland Islands, what I do have a problem with is when they stick us in a box off Aberdeen on any maps, I have even seen us in a box off the western isles. Then some maps show Orkney and No Shetland, ITV show a map of the UK and no Shetland, that bugs me. The BBC do at least acknowledge our existance during weather forecasts down in England, we get quite a few mentions these days, but there's still a lot of ignorance as to our location - AT THE TOP! Jeemsie1989
My Grandad was a Lerik-Scottie. I have actually had that thrown at me once and I don't find it offensive (I'm proud of my heritage) but my Grandad might think differently. But No, I certainly wouldn't find Sheltie offensive.
