maddisp
The north end of Loch of Cliff aint a bad.Head towards the shore station at Burrafirth but before turning north towards the station (after crossing the burn bridge) you will see a dirt track that heads south towards the loch. There is a flat spot next to the old ruin and jetty about a hundred yards from the tarred road. The large sandy Burrafirth beach is about 500 meters away. You wont be able to get the caravan down to the beach as the gate will be locked.50 meters away from the ruin there is a sheltered spot next to the waterfall for tenting, but it can be a bit noisy for sleeping.Have fun! Guest Anonymous
Unless you are going to unst for a specific reason ie the regatta then I would recomend west sandwick in yell or sandvoe in north roe, both have excelent beaches but no services though, fresh water from a well in WS and from the burn in SV. Henry
I would reccommend Gardiesfauld in Uyeasound. The beach at Norwick is great but no services there.
Keedle
We spent a few years camper vanning around Shetland including Unst . We especially liked Skaw and Westings . Stunning views and peacefull . Unfortunately not serviced but hey so what , fantastic places .
ISOT
Skaw is brilliant but not too sure how the road is at the moment for taking a caravan. When/if you get there then you should have room to park up, then a couple of strides too the beach, magic! Cheers
crofter
There is a huge car park next the beach at Lund. But on the other side is a graveyard....

crofter
Another spooky place would be down beside the watlee loch, but that road is maybe not suitable for caravans nowadays?
ArabiaTerra
There is a huge car park next the beach at Lund. But on the other side is a graveyard....... where a good portion of my ancestors are buried.
Malcolm
There is a nice wee sandy beach with a (man made) area suitable for wild camping or caravan parking (with care) at Nor Wick just before you hit the Skaw road.
tirvaluk
Another spooky place would be down beside the watlee loch, but that road is maybe not suitable for caravans nowadays? The council have closed the road to Watlee for safety reasons.Unst has some of the best beaches in Shetland, Norwick is great for caravans. The serviced site at the hostel in Uyeasound is next to the pier and stoney beach, great for bairns playing. You can use the hostel facilities.
Heimdal
Norwick is fine but be aware that there are LOTS of rusty nails on the off road section used by caravans/campervans. I picked up four handfuls the last time I was there. Watch your tyres.
