paulb
i agree a steel container is not the best thing for a shetland. but they were not rejected on the container they were rejected on having a pony on agricultral land. and being made to tarmac a field gate entrance.just think how many field would then need to be tarmaced. which would then need planning because it joined the road. and the cost of the plans ect. crofter-amy
For pittys sake what are things comming to Will this mean every person with a pony or horse will be hearing from the planning dept. ? As i see it a pony can be agricultural, if I use my pony to work the croft....So is he going to be equestrian or agricultural
DizzyKipper
And the planning dept gets how much money per application submitted?
Frances144
I know of folk who use steel containers to keep their ponies in. It is not unheard of and works fine for them. Personally I would put rubber matting down as standard as it would get very slippy. We do not keep our ponies like this, I would add. Also, since when can you not keep ponies on agricultural land. Is that a different land definition to crofting land? I have crofting land and no one has ever said anything about my horses and ponies. I don't really understand this at all. Should I be expecting a visit from the Planning Dept?
