shetlandpeat
Not all of us have access to a computer Pete. For some reason it posts twice and doesn't always allow me to delete the second post That happens with my phone as well. Mind the server this is on seems to be having troubles, too many errors or timed out sockets.

DizzyKipper
My sky looked nothing like that at 12. Just checked again now and there is a pale glow behind cloud that isn't moving
daveh
There was very little to see last night other than the sky was a bit lighter.
MJ
ours was like that at 11pm. not so vivid, but then the photos always are brighter. but definite reds and greens.
stilldellin
Was at its best when I looked out at 11.35 then slowly faded away to very little by midnight.
DizzyKipper
I took some pics, after I found out how to remove all the writing and info off the screen, at ISO 800 and 1000 and 400. I had it on a timer and jammed my elbows against the window frame. They all came out black, except for a house light I can't control shutter speed so I guess I will give up... unless it's something amazingly bright. DizzyKipper
Nice pics frances, what did you see with your naked eye just out of interest? Looking at the list of things to set your camera to, I saw about the lens focus... this I didn't change on mine! It was set for MultiAF, but I've just noticed I have an infinity setting! Metering mode... any ideas what is it? Found that too
stilldellin
Yep, would agree, great pics Frances you certainly hit the right moment there but then they do say west is best ! Hey DK, set your camera to manual focus then set to infinity and come back just a tad. You will need up to 30 seconds exposure.
DizzyKipper
I have infinity, 7m, 3m 1m 0.5m Center AF and Multi AF. I can't see anything about exposure
