Malcolm
Think you'll find the mods have been watching 'Dancing on Ice', normal service will be resumed shortly That is slanderous! Howe could you suggest that the mods watch Dancing on ice? well all except one.
Fjool
Thing about 'censorship' and so forth...? Nobody is happy whatever decision is taken. Ultimately, the responsibility for the post lies with the original poster. not Shetlink. We just prefer not to have the aggro of legal challenges and threats of potential closure to deal with. Fair enough, no? The comments have been recorded elsewhere and will be reviewed when us lazy mods stop volunteering at youth clubs and spending time with our families. Get a grip. If this is the best you can manage...? Really now. If the allegations are valid and honest then let us have a name behind them, or back them up with evidence. Otherwise... sharn. 'A source said' is a tabloid device, unbecoming of Shetlink and unhelpful in the wider context of this debacle. (Genuine at the Dancing on ice comments though... can't vouch for the others, but I never tire of people sliding around to Ravel's Bolero... )

Shoogler
I have only yesterday heard a first hand account of the 'Twat' on the Bressay ferry incident, along with a further set of severly drunken behaviour accounts, throughout the Lerwick area, plus another case of threatening behaviour towards an individual in a public place. This man is leading a charmed life in Shetland at the moment and is beyond merely being an embarassment. Give him sod all and get rid - now. Just do it quietly and proceduraly correctly please. Treeplanter
Bringing this back to the CE job description, whilst acknowedging that this doesn't form a contract of employement, it is interseting to note that under "Person Specification - Essential", the following are included: - Astute Political Awareness - Responds Possitively to Criticism - Demonstrates Disretion and Trust - High Degress of Political Sensitivity Well then....................... whittleseyite
Answering the Mod - I have! These are facts which are public knowledge and can be accessed by anyone. Theres more to come:Mr Clark reported to Councillors that Laidler was a "qualified" surveyor.Enquiries to all the reputable professional institutions reveal that he is not. Gatrill (said to be one of Clark's referees) was convicted in Paris of a massive fraud involving many millions of francs - there were also suicides and murders connected with this fraud. Clark had "a close partnership" with Gatrill. Look on the Web - its all there.
Njugle
Honestly, you turn your back for a moment..... Definitely one for the conspiracy theorists, how could whittleseyite have know none of us was around? A very rare and unusual 'window' for a very potent post...... Well, whittlseyite, stick a genuine phone number, links or verifiable sources on the same info and post it again and I think you'll find yourself very much in-demand, very quickly. As has been said, if it is true, then back it up. You know you want to. edit - "said to be" ain't good enough. Sources!!

whittleseyite
I agree that the Theft Act 1968 does not apply to Scotland - however there will be something that does if only the 1607 Act! If you doubt the facts - do the research! Mr Clark has now removed his Dalzell Projects website but someone will have it. Some of the Gatrill information is in French but with your command of language that's surely no barrier.
Marooned in Maywick
Clark had "a close partnership" with Gatrill. Look on the Web - its all there. Assuming these are the same people...http://www.dalzell.org.uk/page2.html...here's dalzell projects webpage. A pretty shoddy piece of work, I'd have to say.
