khitajrah
How are the roads from the westside into Lerwick today? The fella is debating whether to take the car into the garage or not.

swc123
How are the roads from the westside into Lerwick today? The fella is debating whether to take the car into the garage or not. I have just been in to town from Weisdale and they are fine from there, obviously take care however and I accept no responsibility
Malcolm
The Lang Kames area from Voe to Halway looked as though it hadnt seen a gritter or scraper this morning, it was ruddywell treacherous to say the least!
xoni
just lost satalite signal in firth and its really heavy snow here ..good thing they closed the schools i guess
Spinner72
Yep, showers everywhere just now seems to be. The Kames is another place that is, and always will be, slow to clear due to its geography. It wasn't too bad about 7am but there was a heavy shower on then so would certainly have gotten worse. paulb
heavy snow at the moment.
Nolly
No snow all day out Sandness/Walls way, but the clouds are looking a bit ominous now. Kids are having a whale of a time, last I heard, they were attempting to make an igloo the size of our house, so that should keep them busy for a while! breeksy
Just home - the Kames is fine eenoo, some areas need extra care but its generally fine, but I think it could get treacherous if it freezes as it is very wet in places. stephen
Big thaw going on in Lerwick right now - roads a lot like rivers! Even if it snows tonight, unless it is really heavy, I cant see it lying.
