trooter
I'm with RBS, customer service is excellent and online banking secure. Don't like the customer service with HBOS or Clydesdale, very unhelpful in my opinion, and have never heard anything good about service in Alliance & Leicester! fairislefaerie
A & L and not happy, the recent changeover to Santander had left my acc totally screwed up and unusable for over a week & it took far to many phonecalls to sort out. Needless to say, im in the process of looking for a new bank.
unlinkedstudent
My RBS account is in England and all of their English and Welsh branches are about to be taken over by Santander too. Needless to say, will be moving my account to a scottish branch of RBS. Compared to Santander, RBS charges are reasonable too.
crofter
The blue banks of Fetlar must be among the best.

Spinner72
Hbos changed their security check in a few weeks agao. Yep, but they still didnt change the questions (mine were set up for phone banking, long before the website existed!), and actually removed a layer of security! I have found Clydesdale very good at sorting issues. In one case they rang me up as someone had withdrawn money from my account in Elgin, but one of the staff had seen me in Lerwick that day so was suspicious. I don't think you can improve on that for customer service.
Noodeyn
They must have been having a nosey in ur account then, otherwise how wud they know sum1 had taken money out in Elgin? Dont think I wud feel too pleased about that!
MuckleJoannie
You wouldn't be too pleased if money disapeared from your account either! The Clydesdale seem pretty good at monitoring strange withdrawls. Someone I know once had a phone call at their house here in Shetland from the Clydedale asking if they were buying ski equipment in Norway. Girzie
My security code is a word and numbers intermingled chosen by me which would be a little more difficult to find than my father's first name etc. Although when they used to ask for Dad's first name, I put it in and it was wrong as he was always known by his second name so even I couldn't get into my own account.....
