tarotangel
I like that pub in Bressa, does it not count? is it no the Marryfield or something like that? Maryfield, yeah I've spent a lot of drunken nights in there although I've not been in there for a while so couldn't comment personally on what it is like there but my brother still frequents there when he's over so can't be that bad. david
I would have to say Barclays in Sandwick. Godless decor .. but not a bad pint! Other than that any of the two in Brae is a good night out! Or the Orca Hotel as it is now known... My home will always be Sandwick Social Club. I've yet to find a pub in Aberdeen where you could just walk in, stick on a Father Ted DVD without asking and no one even batters an eye lid. tirvaluk
Personally, I like any pub that has 1 A decent jukebox (although naturally this is open to individual interpretation) 2 Atmosphere3 Is reasonably priced 4 Has smoking facilities (ie beer garden or "shetler")5 Has Pool table/darts/gambler6 Is neither one of God's waiting rooms nor a 'complete sausage factory'! He's nearly described the Sandwick Social Club, just no smoking facilities

Baron Farkoff
"Tomatito" in Tarifa, Spain. Come to think of it, ANY bar in Spain, because you can smoke and have a great time without any fear of being accosted by idiots. You can even smoke and get a froster inside the supermarkets. Civilisation!
sassermaet
Trader Joe's on Hope St in Glasgow - beats all pubs north hands down. (Except the Lounge and its sessions, natch)

shetlandpeat
Was considering buying the Crofters Arms at one point. Was for sale at £27,000, or there abouts. No accommodation though. Looking back, should have done it.
Scorrie
I remember that being up for sale, pity it couldn't be kept going. I've always fancied re-opening the But and Ben at East Yell.
