Fjool
Yeah. Don't sell/buy knuckle dusters through Shetlink. Thanks. Not sure whether it's illegal per-se, but it's not really the sort of thing we'd want to encourage.
Malcolm
From a friend in the Met, It is not illegal to town knuckle dusters, however it is illegal to carry them around in public unless in a locked vessel and you are taking them for appraisal or to sell on to a collector. It is further illegal to have them on display in your home where they are easily picked up "They must be kept in a locked cupboard, drawer or safe/vault. As he says it is best to ask at your nearest constabulary for full information. Hope this helps.Mal

I.S
^^ As for the question from the OP, knuckle dusters are deemed an offensive weapon, in terms of the Act, in that they serve no other purpose - in the eyes of the Law - other than that for which they were made, ie to cause physical injury. You can't sell them on the street, in a shop, a market stall or a pub, any more than you can a push dagger or flick knife. Not lawfully, anyway, and penalties are relatively severe for possession and/or sale in breach of the legislation. It's a "Do not pass go..." situation. Best avoided. Scorrie
Avoid. Unless you are a serious collector of hand to hand weapons and can prove the same to Plod.

peter.l
It's not that i have any i was just hoping to buy some. Why would you want to buy/sell knuckle dusters? Their purpose is to injure people and any 'Self defense' arguments will not wash.
