Frankie
Did anyone see Boruc on BBC Scotland news ?Apparently he was being interviewed by a polish reporter about the Wales game when the reporter asked about the fight he had with McGeady, something along the lines of...... '' So was it true you had a fight with Aiden McGeady at training?'' Boruc replied: 'TOMATO' The guy is definitely cracking up !

JohanofNess
Whats that got to do with Rangers or Celtic???? When faced with answering a question about giving someone a slapping Cantona also started uttering non sensical pish just like Boruc. Only difference is that one was a highly talented footballer and the other is Artur Boruc.

Medziotojas
Yeuch! A Sun headline. I think it was Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3 : Celtic 1 the first time that one was used. Caley Thistle are the nemesis to both sides of the old firm. It's early days yet, but here's hoping that these results will count.

JohanofNess
With the English Premier League discussing off the record the possibility Rangers and Celtic taking part I'm a little concerned this could kill off Scottish football. It is true to say the league would be more competitive if the Old Firm weren't there but one of the problems with that is that the TV money coming into the league was partly because of the Old Firm. Can anyone see Hibs getting to the latter stages of the Champions League or the SPL having two entrants after the Old Firm leave?. What about crowds smaller teams around Glasgow might start to lose fans who want to go see Celtic playing Liverpool rather than go and watch Partick vs Dundee. I understand some fans want to see the back of them but long term I can't see it being good for Scottish football.
nederlander
This has been mentioned on [url=http://www.shetlink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=110606#110606http:// this thread, which should probably be moved to here. The much maligned Chic Young has also written on the subject on his [url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/chickyoung/2009/04/old_firm_departure_would_be_ru.htmlhttp://blog. It's certainly an interesting one, with good points currently being made from all concerned parties.

Thats why I posted it here because it really has nothing to do with the split but as with most things to do with the SPL it becomes about the Old Firm and not about the actual subject the OP started discussing.
