Twerto
http://www.shetland-news.co.uk/2009/October/news/Lerwick%20roundabout%20in%20the%20top%20league.htm Its perhaps the worse roundabout created ever. Lost count how many bairns/folk I see walking on the red piece around the middle, and how many cars I see driving over the middle piece. Its been said before, thats an accident waiting. How is it the design of the roundabouts fault for kids playing on it, surely that's the responcability of the parents for teaching them not to play on roads? Plenty of kids cross the road at the esplanade every day and we dotn run them down there?
shetlandpeat
Folk will always try to take the shortest route, and they also rely on you not hitting them, they have put the ball in your court. And there will be an outcry if one gets hurt and the council will have to spend thousands more making it idiot proof.
Twerto
Next they will be wanting the council to put a 6 foot wall around the coast line of shetland just incase a child decides to disobey its parent and go to the beach. Funny how up here people seem to want barriers when south they are starting to remove them as they create a bad atmosphere as people feel enclosed to much as it is.
