No snowfall or drifting over the day but has been quite windy but not too bad. Mostly clear skies now and overnight but at this time the moon is shining clearly but a few scattered clouds... The bright spells is to carry on over the weekend and over next week. Snow was reported for us next week but update on the television shows no snowfall for the UK but instead bright spells. The weather forecast for tonight and over the week shows possible snow showers for Shetland. The odd snow shower is to fall tonight but dying out between the hours of 00:00-0300 and staying clear for the night, but a possible frosty or icy start to Tuesday. Possible snow showers are to carry on falling over Tuesday. Wednesday is to be very sunny but temperatures reaching about 4 degrees celcius but not much higher. Come Wednesday night, snow showers are to come back for the rest of the night once again. Over Thursday, it should be a bright start to the morning and probably through the day, a possible light snow shower may come down over some parts of Shetland. Later into Thursday HEAVY snow showers are to return and that staying heavy through the night. Over Friday it is to be sleety snow showers heading in but a clear cold night for us. Highest estimated Temperature for the week: 5 degrees celcius. Lowest estimated Temperature for the week: -1 degrees celcius.
