this video sums it up nicely, i have four snow tyres fitted

do you have to manually turn on the extractor?? if so do you leave it on for five minutes after showering?? if not i think this is where the problem is, there is no point in using a dehumidifier as that is not fixing the problem
-
dave putting in a dehumidifier is only covering the symptoms not solving the problem, does the bathroom have a extractor fan?? if not i would suggest installing one

i think you have been out the loop http://www.shetlink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10848 -
is it an A class?? because if it is you will struggle to remove the plastic unless you get it on a ramp and you really need to get the plastics off and treat the rust before it gets serious
-
yes it is a good idea, what make of car do you have? it is best to apply it with a compressor and gun and then you can fill the chassis legs and get into tight places that you wouldnt be able to reach with a brush such as above the fuel tank
-
its mainly because plastic looks slester
-
garriocks make upvc windows and doors, most new build houses will use Scandinavian redwood windows such as uldal or nordan but these only come in standard sizes, they can also be aluclad if you arent wanting to paint them every 2 years
-
as said its easy cash for local fitters to fit and balance tyres so why not. i buy all my tyres online, and even with the postage costs and the extra cost of getting them fitted they are supstantially cheaper than getting them locally, also i like to have decent tyres fitted to my vehicles and not some slester that will land you in a ditch if is comes anything more than i light drizzle
-
strap the wall with 3x2 CLS at regular intervals, nailed on with the hilti nailer apart from the corners and around the windows which are hammer screwed, then the cladding is nailed to this using a paslode and stainless nails, its relatively simple but as they say theres more than one way to skin a cat
-
depends where you are but i always get mine fitted at tyre and exhaust and they are a couple of pound cheaper than jims to get tyres fitted and balanced
-
i dont think you will find anyone who specialises in this in shetland, i have however worked on a house in whalsay where we clad the whole house with timber and replaced the fascia boards with plastic. i work for GA leask builders, you should give garry a phone on 01595840747 or 07836329662

no offence to the lady driver but how the hell did she no manage to see there was a VERY LARGE truck turning into the junction, she is going down hill therefore is sitting higher than the the truck so should easily be able to see it, unless of course she had glued the front bumper of her car to the back of the van in which case she was "driving too close to the vehicle in front" and should at the very least be charged with "Driving without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other road users". i do believe the police car sitting on the cattle grid was a contributing factor but it is obscene to blame them for the crash.

Doing up old croft house: Where to buy windows, doors?
Hobbiniho replied to Trout81's topic in Consumer Advice
i am currently doing up my bedroom which is in an old house i am using 50mm kingspan, (doubled up on the external walls) and foilback plasterboard on the external walls and celing, using plain on the other two walls. all the materials i have got come from hays, i doubt that a south company will be able to match the price especially with the shipping cost involved, another thing is you will probably have a struggle returning the plasterboard if it comes damaged as it so often does as has been said bulter and mulhern are the best for windows and doors, they can make them to absolutely any size you want and the quality is very good, are you going to be fitting the windows and doors yourself?? as for prices the window that i am getting is about 1200x800 and i have been told i am likely to pay about £300 for the window alone, i will be fitting it myself. -
i have one of these aswell i live in an area that doesn't get normal coverage (closest area of signal is more than a mile away) the sure signal box works brilliantly i am also able to get signal as far away as the main road which is about 100m away from the house, i think i payed around about £80 but i am on pay as you go, as said only works with 3g compatible phones and only on vodafone
-
i have full 3g signal at my hoose and i am on vodafone because i have a vodafone sure signal box
-
one of these gets my vote
-
vodafone make a signal booster that plugs into your broadband and gives you 3g it can be added to some contracts for £5 per month or you can buy the box outright http://gadgets.capsta.co.uk/product/vodafone-3g-signal-booster.html

Drivers so bad they provoke road rage!
Hobbiniho replied to lumpsucker's topic in Anything & Everything Else
the only type of vehicle i have experienced doing this is trucks and tractors, its the cars that vary there speed from 35-50 that get on my nerves and usually end up having to overtake them because i do not like having to constantly brake then accelerate because they cannot maintain a constant speed they usually speed up on the straights and crawl around the corners making it more difficult to perform a safe overtake -
one thing that bugs me with car adverts is the people who have absolutely nothing constructive to add but just come out with sarcastic comments
-
the view from up there on a nice sunny day is beautiful

they must have been studded otherwise half the population of shetland would have been done for running snow tyres
