I have never heard so much narrow minded sprootle in my life. 'burn neds at the cross' and 'keep smack unclean'. Take your pitchforks, jump on the back of your pick-up and pootle off back to your cave.

Making it legal will make it purer but will it not also make it better, therefore harder to kick?

even more backwards steps......

I tried BZP in new zealand a few years ago and was extremely surprised with the results. I was expecting absolutely nothing to happen as it is completely legal, the effect was unexpected to say the least... suffice to say i ended up in a jungle club drinking lots of beer and making an ass of myself on the dancefloor for roughly 12 hours. The only ill effects the next day were the hangover from the beer and the spagie from the dancing.

Can someone what benefit there are with Ecstasy, Speed, MDMA, Heroin, Cocaine etc.

As far as i can see there is very few (if any) medical benefits to these types of drugs and the huge down sides.

Warrented if Drink and Smokes were discovered today then they would be illegal... But ther are not but.

I was walking to my car this morning and a guy asked me if i had any "coke or Valium" i could spare for cash. Needless to say we all have our views on drugs, whether we be for them or against them but I don't think there is many people out there can say "drugs are good for you" or "if my kids were hooked on drugs i would be so proud of them"

I have seen the fall from grace, people say they are fine, it's great and it's just for a laugh... many are no longer with us.

I wouldn't want my son to be a heroin addict, but it doesn't follow that I want heroin to remain illegal. Do you have evidence to show that he would be more likely to become a heroin addict if heroin was legalised ?

Fair point but if we know it is highly addictive, deadly and has no medical benefit why make it legal. If there are good points for Heroin to be legalised then fair play look into it but making it legal for the sake of it is something else.

many people say they are scared to try drugs incase they like it... Why encourage them to take it? legalising it is removing the barrier meaning it's fine... We may as well stop highlighting the potential damages.

Heroin ( well, diamorphine ) is widely used in hospitals as a painkiller. Doesn't that count as a medical benefit ?

If there are good points for Heroin to be legalised then fair play look into it but making it legal for the sake of it is something else.

Two good reasons to legalise heroin are:

a) to cut off a source of funding to organised crime

B) to cut the price so addicts are less likely to resort to crime to fund their habit.

I don't think anybody advocates the legalisation of heroin "for the sake of it".

And a third being it would create a situation where heroin users are getting a steady clean supply that doesn't fluctuate in potency with each purchase. Reducing overdoses.

Well stone me for this but as far as I'm concerned if you want to take smack then OD is part and parcel of the junk and I do have friends that are using (I am totaly disgusted with them) and if they do OD then tough turd, it is not like they didn't know better, Darwin at work is no bad thing.

And before they read this and start all their bull that there is no chance of OD when chasing I beg to differ I know of at least two folk that are now dead through chasing, you makes your choice and you takes your chances.

^ By that logic, why not make booze random strengths too then? One can of lager at 3% abv; the next 15%. Would make for an amusing evening, no?

After all, if you're stupid enough to take drugs, they should be as dangerous as possible, right? :?

Yeah, booze and fighting go together, too. It's just part of it: drink loads of alcohol and have a fight. I have friends who drink( I am totally disgusted with them, by the way) and if they get into a drunken brawl, then tough it's not like they didn't know better. They deserve to get totally beaten up, yeah! Darwin and his logic will soon sort these drunken idiots out and then we won't have a problem with alcohol at all, will we? I know at least two people who got into a fight after drinking just two pints. It's just part of the territory, and that's all fine.Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.(see sheepshaggers post above)
