Road condition reports - Snow, Rain, Fog, etc

Just had a call from the taxi firm that takes my son to Eric Gray from Firth

They are not coming tomorrow as they feel it is too much of a risk

The roads must be going to be bad in the morning I think....

well I still say thanks to the men for keeping these roads good. COmpared to other places that have snow I think we have the best men up here and should give these men of ours top marks, epecially since they have been called out every day so early and finishing late. Pre Grit was done tonight.

strangest thing ive been scratchin me head about all day, the plough has eventually twigged that goin the other way round our loop road out here puts the snow away from everybodys gates, but begger me if hes not stopped 6 feet from the main road n left a snowy bit, bit of a puzzle

 

get shoveling!

I remember the days when we used to dig the older folks cars out of snow. I still get a xmas card from one of them to this very day

Used to live in Kent (yes I have spelt that correctly !!) and if there was half the amount of snow down there everything came to a halt so a big thanks to all the gritters and bus drivers, much appreciated.

But seriously, was out just before 9, taking the essie bags out for folks. Looked out at 10 and there's a large extra lair of snow, including that on my nice (formerly) clean doorstep.

But you guys in town haven't had much snow this year. Been shocked as you go down the north road EVERY day this week at how little is lying in town or on bressay.
