Is it not Stuart Hill satirizing himself? He wrote another letter under the name " Cedric Swick" in January http://www.force10.co.uk/sn_test/archives/letters_01_2008/100%20per%20cent%20proof.htm which provoked this reply http://www.force10.co.uk/sn_test/archives/letters_01_2008/Come%20out,%20Mr%20Swick.htm

After having read Mr Swick's letters I thought it sounded more like our esteemed Dr Wills, don't you think?

Ahh, possibly! On closer inspection, Mr Swick uses shetlandersagainstreality.org slightly different to Mr Hills shetlandagainstreality.org Maybe he is not as bonkers as I thought!

I don't think either of the Swick letters can be Stuart Hill. Why on earth would he start a campaign of satire against himself? The letters are too funny to be him, and too well-written. Surely someone else has just taken out the domain in his name? Or he's taken out the domain after reasing the letter. The site is certainly not as funny as the letters. If Stuart is Cedrick Swick though my opinion of him has skyrocketed.

Whether he wins or loses I admire Stuart's get up and go on this one. It's funny how a soothmoother can sometimes be more passionate about Shetlandic issues than most Shetlanders.

The fact that this is now being picked up by the national media almost gives his claim more credence, rightly or wrongly. I'm no expert on this issue at all but Stuart has done a lot of research. He will probably lose, but the legal thing hardly seems to make the UK claim on Shetland seem all that sturdy. It basically comes down to the fact that people have sort of accepted Shetland has been part of Scotland for years so that is how it should be. I thought law was supposed to be a bit more refined in outlook.

If Brian Smith is right then Stuart Hill will lose ... but what if he wins?

An awful lot of non-criminal law seems to revolve around the word 'reasonable'. Not much refinement there, it's all one big grey area.

What about the poor accountants? Maybe that sounds a bit like an oxymoron, but did they really want to be caught up in all this fuss?

A rather long way round getting out of paying off a debt.

Did turn up to have a gander, but got there to be told it's postponed till 22nd.
